The GMS plantpac is used to provide instantaneous Low Temperature Hot Water/Domestic Hot Water using primary steam. Plantpacs are typically installed in hospitals as steam is widely used in the medical environment as it is easy to transport over large distances due the way in which steam flows.

Steam systems permit large amounts of thermal energy to be transported very easily and comparatively reduced pipe sizes compared to High Temperature Hot Water Systems due to the high heat capacity of steam. It is also useful to use this kind of system as steam is commonly required for the sterilisation processes that take place within hospitals.
