Peakline Water Booster Sets When water is required at a higher pressure or flowrate than is available from the mains water system, a GMS WB booster set is the ideal solution, providing adequate supplies of cold water at a constant pressure in different types of buildings. GMS Booster sets are available with both fixed speed and inverter driven variable speed pumps. All the pumps in the WB range of booster sets are manufactured with wetted parts in stainless steel. Standard Units GMS WB booster sets are available as a standard range, although special units can be designed to suit any purpose. With flowrates available up to 100 litres/second with a maximum head of 100 metres, most requirements will be covered. Single pump booster units for non-essential services provide a simple solution for applications such as wash-down facilities, irrigation and vehicle washing etc. The units are supplied with a single pump, isolating valves, check valve, pressure switch and contactor panel. Multi-pump booster units have either two, three or more pumps fitted in various formats - duty/standby or cascade. The units are operated by either pressure switches or electronic transducers, operating the main pump if the system pressure drops and also operating other pumps should the pressure fall further or the demand becomes excessive. Jockey booster sets are similar to the multi-pump units but have the addition of an extra pump. This pump is constantly running to deal with light casual demand during off-peak periods.
